That makes me really sad. I'm sure it does many other people too:( I clicked on your link, thank you. However I have to say I dont understand what it says. I'm not completely computer illiterate but close;) I have no idea what a 'ribbon' is and I am working with Office 2003 so insert tab and online picture buttons do not exist. I have 2007 on another computer but find it so difficult to make the switch as it looks so different. Mind you it looks like I would have the same problem with 2007 too.
I wish big companies would not make major decisions like this, running rough shod over us little (and generally older people). Makes me want to give up trying when I finally get used to something and then they 'improve it' which generally means its less user friendly, has less functionality and costs more RIP beloved gallery. What the link says is that MS has changed the US site to display instructions for uses of Office 2007, 2010 and 2013. They don't include instructions for Office 2003 because MS expects you to 'upgrade' away from it. The 'ribbon' is what you see in 2007 (and later) that 'improves upon' the menus you use in 2003 to access commands. The (several links) only one link at the bottom of the article provides you web access to the 'old' version of the clip art / picture site. I don't know how long it will continue in the old format, specifically: Or you can still go to this to search for images as you used to (for now).! Note: when I originally wrote the article, several of the other English localized sites had not yet been 'improved', so they still worked the old way. I guess someone at MS read this article and used it to 'fix' those sites specifically (or MS just 'got around' to fixing them on their own time ). ( NOTE: I had to update the article) In 2003 the equivalent commands are Insert menu > > Picture command > Clip art command. That allows you to search for clipart. Yes, clicking on 'Clip art on Office online' link in that search pane, will take you to the same 'borked' search page you have been looking at * ¯ _(ツ)_/¯ “I can’t do it” never yet accomplished anything.
